Presidentialchange, a five-year-old Changeover gelding, came from absolute last at the 500 metre mark to quash his harness racing rivals in the time-honoured Calder Pacing Cup at Wedderburn on Sunday.
The gelding hoisted a fresh lifetime record of 1:58.2 in posting his fifth success.
Changeover, who stands at Burwood Stud near Brisbane, left winners in three different States and three countries during the past week.
Other recent Changeover winners were the three-year-old Yianni (1:56.2, Ballarat), Immortal Change NZ (Tamworth), Stinger Lindenny (Palmerston North, NZ), Glengarry Knight NZ (1:52.6, Dover Downs, USA) and the trotter Heart Of Change NZ, who came off a 40 metre handicap to win at Albion Park.
Changeover has sired 85 individual winners to date this season and they have amassed $1.2 million in prizemoney.
