Stage set for Hoosier Park opening

Anderson, IN– March 24, 2021– The stage is set for Harrah’s Hoosier Park as the 28th season of live harness racing is set to get underway with a 14-race card on Friday, March 26. A total of 168 horses have been dropped into the entry box for the Opening Night card, highlighted by eliminations for the Harrah’s Hoosier Park Claiming Challenge, with a post time of 6:30pm.

With racing set to commence once again on the Anderson oval, Harrah’s Hoosier Park will also debut its new wagering menu to the betting public, the new wagering menu includes:

• An early Pick 5 in races 1-5 as well as a late Pick 5 in races 10-14
• Both an early Pick 4 in races 3-6 as well as a new late Pick 4 in races 11-14
• Return of the Jackpot Pick 6 in races 8-13
• Rolling Pick 3 wagers throughout the card beginning in races 2, 6, 9 and 12
• A Hoosier High 5 in the final race of the night with an industry low takeout of 12%

The Opening Night card’s Hoosier High Five in the finale will feature a guaranteed pool of $15,000. The wager requires handicappers to select the first five finishers of the evenings final race, if there are no winners in the wager, the pool will carry over into the final race of the next card’s Hoosier High Five. Over the course of the racing season, the Hoosier High Five pool will be guaranteed at $10,000 on Wednesday-Friday cards, as well as when Sundays are picked up starting May 23.

Also returning for the 2021 season at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, the track will guarantee the early Pick 4 pool at $10,000 every Thursday over the course of the season in races 3-6.

To go along with the return of live racing, Harrah’s Hoosier Park will show gratitude to race fans by hosting Fan Appreciation Weekend. A multitude of giveaways, contests and more will be available to race fans on both Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27. Highlights of Fan Appreciation Weekend at Harrah’s Hoosier Park include:

• $100 Mega Bet Drawings at Trackside Promotional Kiosks from 5pm-8:30pm with winners selected at 9pm

• Bet Against the Boss Handicapping Contest for Caesars Rewards Members at Trackside Promotional Kiosks starting at 5pm
• $15,000 Guaranteed Hoosier High Five Wager in the evening’s final race
• “Fan-Tastic Fridays” featuring $1 Bets, $1 Programs, $2 Hot Dogs & Floats at Dog N Suds, and $4 Glasses of Bacardi Punch at The Shoe

• Race Fan T-shirt Giveaway to the first 500 Caesars Rewards members at Trackside Promotional Kiosks starting at 6pm
