$10,000 and Penalty Free Racing at Port Pirie

Harness Racing SA advises that all races scheduled for Port Pirie on Tuesday nights during August and September will be PENALTY FREE…..yes that’s right no ratings penalties.

This initiative received unanimous endorsement from the members of Harness Racing Australia.
The programs for August and September will cater for all classes of horses and will include the previously advertised dual-race bonus opportunity, where any horse winning both dual races on the night will receive a stake of $10,000
With this $10,000 prize now being penalty free the attraction of racing for an excellent stake just got that more appealing.

In making this announcement HRSA Board Chairman George Fiacchi stated “This is a fantastic inititiative for the Harness Racing Industry in Port Pirie.We are all about growing the industry and this enables the club to kickstart the local industry and re-establish itself following the COVID crisis. We look forward to owners and trainers from all parts of the state supporting this novel concept”
