Talented three-year-old filly Pas De Cheval provided the highlight of another huge week for the leading sire A Rocknroll Dance when she took out harness racing’s Group 3 $30,000 NSW Breeders Challenge Western Regional Final at Wagga on Friday night (December 9).
The filly earned a new speed badge of 1:54.3 and spiked her earnings to beyond $100,000 with her end-to-end success.
A Rocknroll Dance sired important winners in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane last weekend.
At Menangle he sired the quinella pair, Jay Ok (1:51.2) and Whereyabinboppin, in the Brian Hancock Free-for-all, Magic Mike NZ won in 1:54.6 on the Inter Dominion undercard at Melton, while the two-year-old colt English Dance blitzed older rivals at Albion Park.
A Rocknroll Dance sired a winning double at Redcliffe with Jaccka Wally NZ (1:56) and Allambie (1:57.6).
Other recent A Rocknroll Dance winners in Australia have been the three-year-olds Karaoke King (Newcastle), Deecee Rockin (Redcliffe) and Trigger (Port Pirie) and others in Ghost Of Time (Ballarat), Jitterbug Arden (Cobram), Rocking Wroxton (Mildura) and Nifty Studleigh (Newcastle).
In New Zealand, A Rocknroll Dance was represented by a double at Methven with Blue Rock Dancer and the three-year-old Woodbine Rocks and the Winton three-year-old victor Jaccka Connor.
While in North America, fast winners sired by A Rocknroll Dance included Lady Rocknrolla (1:51.8), Time To Dance (1:52.2), Rocknroll Gold (1:52.4), A Rocknroll Star (1:52.6) and Dream Dancing (1:52.6).
In Australia, A Rocknroll Dance has sired the winners of $4million to date this season and is in ninth position on the All Aged sire list. He is sixth on the three-year-old table with 58 individual winners (behind only Bettorās Delight) and over $1 million in stakes.
A Rocknroll Dance is standing this season at Somerset Farms, near Brisbane, of Pete and Chantal McMullen.
