The New Zealand bred Revolver, a six-year-old gelding, is proving a splendid advertisement for former Kiwi superstar Auckland Reactor in North America.
The gelding sliced 3.6 seconds off his lifetime mark when he clocked 1:51.6 winning a $US33,000 race at The Meadowlands, New Jersey on Saturday night (November 27). He came from third last with a closing quarter in 27.
Revolver, who is out of the Vance Hanover mare Penny Lane, has now won four races in America and has lifted his career earnings to more than $US80,000.
Shereacts, a four-year-old daughter of Auckland Reactor, sat parked throughout winning in 1:59.7 at Albion Park, while High Flux, a four-year-old gelding, hoisted a fresh lifetime record of 1:56.8 at Shepparton. Both recorded their third successes.
Auckland Reactor, who is standing at Tony Peacockās St Fort Stud, Moama (NSW), has sired 146 Australian bred winners from 231 starters and they have earned $4.7 million, an average of $20,357 per starter.
