Aha Reaction (Auckland Reactor) bounced back to winning harness racing form when scoring in a rating 75 to 105 event in Hobart on Friday night (Jan. 20).
The winner of 18 races had contested several feature races in recent starts, including a fifth placing in the Dash For Cash in Launceston, where his manners in the score up let him down.
He also contested the Hobart Pacing Cup prior to that effort.
On Friday, Driver Mark Yole rated the gelding as a strong chance amongst his book of drives across the weekend in his Making Your Mark column that is published by Tasracing, and readers obviously didnāt follow his lead, with the pacer drifting on the Tasracing Official Price from $4.20 to $6.50.
From inside of the second row, Mark pushed through to settle behind the leader and was able to sprint home best along the sprint lane to score by a head over Jawbreaker and Hickstead, who dead-heated for second spot.
The win was the middle leg of a driving double for Mark Yole, who was also in the winnerās circle with Smooth Deal, who completed a winning hat-trick, and We Salute You was his other winner.
All three of Markās winners were prepared by his brother Ben, who ended the night with seven training wins.
His other winners were Kiavino Stride (driven by Bronte Miller), Heza Rummage (Nathan Ford), Priddy Sublime (Cody Crossland), Equity Stride (Tiarna Ford) and Somedan (Olivia Weidenbach).
Meanwhile, at King Island on Saturday, Tisu Storm for trainer-driver Paul Williams completed the treble of the Islandās premier pacers wins with a dominant win in theĀ King Island Pacing Championship.
The Heston Blue Chip gelding had already won the King Island Pacing Cup and Flying Mile this year.
