The Group 1 $60,000 Vicbred Super Series Final for two-year-old trotting fillies, run at Melton, proved a triumph for Aldebaran Park as the breeders of the quinella pair Harperseven and Aldebaran Ada.

Harperseven (Helpisontheway USA – Aldebaran Turnpike USA – Cantab Hall USA) unleashed a brilliant finishing flourish from midfield to notch her second ‘black type’ harness racing success from six starts. She rated a career-best 1:59.8 for the 2240 metres mobile trip. Runner-up Aldebaran Ada (Brillantissime Fra – Aldebaran Aliza – Muscle Hill USA) was gallant in defeat and there is little doubt both fillies will feature strongly in next month’s Group 1 Breeders Crown series.

Aldebaran Park sired or bred performers enjoyed success in three different States and on both sides of the Tasman during November.

In Victoria, Keayang Brandy (Aldebaran Eagle USA – Im Princess Sophie) took out the Matchmaker Mile at Maryborough on Redwood Day in a new lifetime mark of 1:55.9, Link In Bio (by Skyvalley NZ) completed the St Arnaud and Stawell Trotters Cups double, and the Skyvalley NZ pair Alrighty and Skybella won the Vicbred Silver 3YO Final and a Vicbred 3YO heat respectively at Melton.

In South Australia, the Aldebaran Park owned filly Queen Kizen NZ (What The Hill Ca – Queen Kenny) led throughout to win the Listed SA Trotters Oaks, while Golden Sunset (by Skyvalley NZ) won two heats of the Darrell Alexander Trotting Championship at Albion Park.

While in New Zealand, the bonny Aldebaran Eagle USA filly Gatesy’s Gem finished runner-up in the $500,000 The Ascent and third in the Group 1 $196,500 NZ Trotting Derby at Addington. She has now banked in excess of $280,000.

Skyvalley NZ and Aldebaran Eagle USA, fourth and eighth respectively on this season’s national sires’ premiership, both experienced a brilliant month with their progeny.

Other winners by Skyvalley NZ have been the dual Albion Park victor Look For Tascott, Madge Egan, Floating Mountain, Lady Suspicious and Sellune.

Skyvalley NZ also figured as the damsire of the Albion Park two-year-old winner African Gala and the Victorian provincial winners Midnight Muscle, Abbie and Keayang Gypsy.

Aldebaran Eagle USA was also represented by the two-year-old Ideology and the three-year-olds Chillhunnybunny and Ten Eagles.

Aldebaran Park bred no less than 11 individual winners of 12 races for the month.

The list comprises Generally Speaking Swe (Readly Express Swe – Maori Time), who won twice at Hoosier Park, Indiana in 1:56.8, the Albion Park winner Hammer Son (Majestic Son Ca – Jingling Silver), Aldebaran Maverick (Andover Hall USA – Maori Road), Aldebaran Susanne (What The Hill Ca – Cold Sister USA), the Ashburton NZ two-year-old winner Mum’s Angel (What The Hill Ca – Petite’s Legacy), Harperseven, Keayang Brandy, Queen Kizen, Abbie, Chillhunnybunny and Ideology.

Aldebaran Park’s new frozen semen stallions Maharajah Swe and Calgary Games Swe both enjoyed spectacular success in the northern hemisphere recently.

The Maharajah Swe sired Dream Mine firmly established himself as the top four-year-old trotter in Sweden when he annexed the $US170,000 Swedish Breeders Crown in a 1:55 rate at Eskilstuna. It was his eighth success on end and followed victories in the Swedish Derby and UET Grand Prix, taking his lifetime stake tally to $US1.2 million.

Maharajah Swe also sired the winners of both Finnish Breeders Crown races for three-year-olds in Make Cash (colt) and Arctic Fiona (filly)

Meanwhile, the Calgary Games Swe two-year-old filly Busy Miss Lissy S won the Grade 3 $US125,000 Kindergarten Series Final in 1:53.6 and ran a close third in the Grade 1 $US462,000 Goldsmith Maid at The Meadowlands, New Jersey.

The 2025/26 stud season is in full swing and we are ‘Hot to Trot’ at Aldebaran Park.

We can confirm that Calgary Games Swe, Maharajah Swe and Dancinginthedark M USA are available via frozen semen and the service fee for each is payable on live foal and all are available only in Australia. All are NZ Sires’ Stakes and Vicbred eligible.

Aldebaran Zeus’s stud duties are now well underway with his fresh/chilled semen available in Australia and NZ. He is also NZ Sires’ Stakes and Vicbred eligible.

Along with Skyvalley NZ being available to Australian breeders with fresh/chilled semen, Aldebaran Eagle USA is again available via frozen semen to NZ breeders. The service fee is payable on live foal and he is NZ Sires’ Stakes eligible.

For all stallion details visit the Stallions section at the Aldebaran Park website. Booking forms, semen order forms and full pedigrees and details are available.
