Amazing footage has emerged of harness racing driver James Herbertson’s incredible recovery after being tipped out of the cart while steering Bee Gee Cee at Shepparton on Wednesday night.
The reinsman’s entire was checked when Platinum Prince galloped on his inside in the Barastoc Pace.
The incident saw Herbertson tipped from the sulky, but the reigning Victorian Concession Driver of the Year kept a firm hold on the reins, refound his feet and gradually slowed the stallion.
Herbertson was then able slip back into the sulky and safely steer Bee Gee Cee home, while a concerned Jack Laugher (Platinum Prince) and the clerk of the course idled nearby to keep an eye on their colleague.
