Australia’s best pacer currently racing Leap To Fame (Bettor’s Delight) thrilled his huge group of followers with yet another powerhouse harness racing display to win the Leading Edge Security Pacers race at Albion Park on Saturday evening.

The race was an interesting diversion from Leap To Fame’s normal routine of mobile races. This time trainer Grant Dixon opted to run Leap To Fame off 30 metres in a standing start event. Despite a capacity field of 12 runners there was no serious support for any other runner.
Prior to the event Dixon stated that he was hoping to get a good getaway and the race wasn’t going to be a walkover off the 30 metres.
But Leap To Fame showing the professional that he is commenced cleanly and not long after started to weave his way through the field. In a scrappy start, seven of the twelve runners galloped out and in the process Targaryen was severely interfered with.
LEAP TO FAME JUN 7 REPLAY
Stablemate Aroda driven by Dixon’s wife Trista showed early speed to take up the running but no sooner had she settled down then Leap To Fame made his customary charge around the field and found the lead with little trouble.

Without exerting himself too much Dixon allowed Leap to Fame to run his last two quarters in 27.9 and 26.3 seconds and he had three metres to spare over Aroda with Mossdale Terrya credible third.
“That was pretty hectic at the start. They were going everywhere” stated Dixon after the race.

Leap to Fame is likely to have a final run at Albion Park on June 19 in an open pace before contesting the first round of heats of the Inter Dominion on July 5.
And on the strength of his recent efforts he is likely to be a short priced favourite.
