The results of the NSW Breeders Challenge at Menangle on Sunday (October 29) proved a triumph for Australian Pacing Gold as sale graduates won four of the six Finals.
AGP graduates won both divisions of the four-year-old series with My Ultimate Ronnie (Bettorās Delight-Gifted Bliss) and Captains Queen (Captaintreacherous-Fususi).
Bred by Ron and the late Kaye Littler, My Ultimate Ronnie was sold for $60,000 at the APG Sydney sale in 2020, while Captains Queen, bred by Goulburn identity Mat Day, realised $95,000 at the same auction.
Nathan Street (Lazarus-Lettucesomewhere), the brilliant winner of the $150,000 Final for two-year-old colts and geldings, was knocked down by Paul Kahlefeldtās Redbank Lodge Standardbreds for $60,000 at the 2022 Sydney APG sale.
Captains Knock (Captaintreacherous-Scarlett Finn), who took out the $150,000 decider for three-year-old colts and geldings in 1:49.9, was bred by John and Kristen Rutter and made $36,000 at the 2021 auction in Sydney.
Furthermore, Miss Idaho (Ultimate Machete-Golden Valour), winner of the SA Golden Nursery at Globe Derby Park, was bred by long-time APG clients Garry and Melva Graham and was a graduate of the Melbourne sale in 2022.
