One of the most promising young trotters in Victoria at present is the Love You four-year-old harness racing gelding Aroha Koe.

The gelding made it four wins from his last five starts when he led for the last mile and easily defeated a handy field at Melton on Saturday night (May 13). He rated 1:59.5 for 2240 metres.

Another recent Love You winner was Love Ya Brother, who overcame a 20 metre handicap to score at Hamilton, his fourth win from five outings this season and fifth from eight lifetime starts.

Adelle, a New Zealand-bred daughter of Orlando Vici, sent her stake earnings over the $150,000 mark when she sat parked throughout before winning at Albion Park. She has now won 15 races.

Quaker Jet landed a double at Cambridge Raceway, NZ with the three-year-old Castana and four-year-old Quick Sharnie. He was also represented by the Globe Derby Park winner Atout.

Right Moves, a daughter of The Best Madrik, notched her 15th success when she led from end-to-end in 1:58.3 at Menangle. The mare has banked almost $130,000.

Love You, Orlando Vici, Quaker Jet and The Best Madrik are all part of the sire roster at Haras Des Trotteurs’ stud near Ballarat. Volstead, who formerly stood at Haras Des Trotteurs, sired two winners from his first crop in the two-year-old fillies Violet Stanford and Third Eye, who both won on debut at Maryborough.
