Dual New Zealand Horse of the Year Auckland Reactor, who is now standing at Tony Peacock’s St Fort stud at Moama on the NSW-Victorian border, sired three winners in North America this week.
They were the former En Zedders Jaffa Josh, a winner in 1:50.8 at Hoosier Park, Indiana, Baltimore Jack (1:54, Rosecroft Raceway, Maryland) and Revolver (1:55.6, Freehold Raceway, New Jersey).
Brookie’s Jaffa, a five-year-old son of Auckland Reactor, notched his sixth win and pushed his earnings to beyond $50,000 when he outsprinted his rivals at Cambridge Raceway, NZ on Sunday (October 24).
He carved out the last 800 in 56 and 400 in 28.4 with a 1:58.9 mile rate for the 2200 metres trip.
On the same day, the Auckland Reactor four-year-old Unsurpassable cleared novice class in 1:59.3 at the annual Tuapeka meeting at Invercargill.
In Australia, Auckland Reactor left the three-year-old winner Hannah Macella, who made it two wins from three starts at Bunbury, and Aha Reaction NZ, who won his seventh race for the season at Launceston.
Auckland Reactor has sired 95 individual winners in Australia to date this year and they have amassed $1.54 million in prizemoney.
