Australia’s fastest two-year-old this season Mister Rea will have to overcome an awkward draw at Young tonight to keep his unbeaten record in tact.
The Pet Rock colt has drawn inside the second row in a $10,000 heat of the Breeders Challenge.
Mister Rea resumed from a spell at Riverina Paceway on September 3 and has now had five starts for as many wins.
This will be his first start around the Young circuit despite being trained in Temora by Ray Walker.
There is also a $10,000 Breeders Challenge heat for two-year-old fillies at Young tonight and Victorian horseman Russell Jack has the main fancy with Captains Queen.
The daughter of Captaintreacherous won the group 1 Australian Pacing Gold Final in April and was sent out for a break.
She bounced back from her spell with a win at Riverina Paceway on August 27.
She will be driven by Goulburn reinsman Brad Hewitt who drove the filly last start.
