The French bred mare Hopeful Beauty, a daughter of the Ready Cash horse Brillantissime, a triple Group 1 winner in Italy, toyed with her rivals at her first outing this year at Bendigo on Thursday night (May 13).
Settling down at the tail of the seven-horse field, Hopeful Beauty was set alight three-wide at the 600 metres and quickly gobbled the opposition to score by an ever-increasing 18.3 metres.
Hopeful Beauty carved out the last 800 in 58.8 seconds.
She has won three of her 10 starts to date.

Tough Love, a two-year-old filly, effortlessly took out a heat of the NSW Foundation Series at Menangle – her second success from just four starts.
In New Zealand, the sensational two-year-old Highgrove hoisted a new national mark of 1:57.1 over 1700 metres in a Sires Stakes prelude at Ashburton. It was the gelding’s fourth success from five starts.
Ultimate Stride, who overcame a 25 metre handicap at Invercargill, and the three-year-old Outamyway, who came off 10 metres at Addington, were other recent NZ winners by Love You.
Ultimate Stride boasts the enviable record of 10 wins and three placings in 18 starts for $187,068 in stakes.
Quaker Jet has sired 16 individual winners from 34 foals in his first crop in both NZ and Australia.
Brillantissime, Love You and Quaker Jet are members of the starstudded Haras Des Trotteurs’ sire roster at Ballarat (Vic.).
