Talented trotter Bet N Win (What The Hill) is coming home with his Canterbury trainers David and Stacey White – pulling the pin on his Queensland harness racing campaign.
The four year old impressively won his Australian debut in the listed The Stellar Square but a foot abscess prevented him from running in the Group One The Great Square last weekend.
It had been hoped he would recover in time for the Queensland Trotters Cup next weekend at Albion Park.
āWhere the abscess blew out, there is a wee crack there and we donāt want to make that any worse so weāre just going to bring him home and regroup and aim at the Dominion. Heāll have a couple of weeks off here and a couple at home,ā David White said.
Bet N Win is booked to fly home on July 28th.
The Whites have also taken over the training of Major Hot (Art Major) who was left in Australia by his trainers Mark and Nathan Purdon.
āNathan came over with two horses and one of them had a wee issue. There wasnāt a lot of point with his commitments to hang around for the one horse so we were lucky to pick him up. He won his first start so hopefully he can do the same on Saturday night.ā
Major Hot draws the inside of the second row in a race for three years olds at Albion Park on Saturday. The horseās main target is the $150,000 Group One Queensland Derby next Saturday.
āI think he may stay over here and go to Sydney or Perth but Iām not too sure.ā
