Bettor’s Delight filly too good in Pink Bonnet

Exciting two year old filly Promiseland has won the $50,000 (Group 2) Fran Fitzpatrick Cheryl McDowell Pink Bonnet tonight at Menangle for harness racing trainer Michael Doltoff and driver Luke McCarthy.

Promiseland a filly by Bettor’s Delight, led all the way in the Group 2 event and was never in doubt winning comfortably from Miss Exclusive who rushed home late from back in the field and Jewel Melody who battled on well late after being held up in the trail up the straight.

“This filly looks like she’s going to be pretty special,” said McCarthy.

“She’s such a well bred filly, the Sloys breed is so good.

“It’s a great win for connections as they put a lot into the industry and great for them to get something back.”
