In just 24 hours two pacers have put their names forward for the upcoming Inter Dominion.
With twist to the series this year, Inter Dominion hosts Harness Racing Victoria have offered a āgolden ticketā straight into the heats of the time-honoured series that gets under way on November 26.
Rising pacer Rock N Roll Doo (Rock N Roll Heaven) earned one of these exclusive tickets when winning the Group 2 Kilmore Cup on Friday night (Sep. 23).
The next was A Rocknroll Dance gelding Whereyabinboppin that won the Group 3 Sutton McMillan Free-For-All at Menangle on Saturday night (Sep. 24).
Whereyabinboppin has won three-straight Group 3 races at Menangle now.
The James Rattray-trained pacer has rated 1:51.7, 1:52.9 and 1:51.7 in those respective victories.
Whereyabinboppin led throughout in his latest success holding out Stingray Tara and last year’s Inter Dominion heat winner Malcolms Rhythm.
WHEREYABINBOPPIN REPLAY
Rattray, of course, is no stranger to preparing a horse for the Inter Dominion series.
The 37-year-old has won the Inter Dominion Grand Final twice with Beautide in 2014 and 2015.
As for these āgolden ticketā features, there are only three left on the calendar for the pacers before the series gets underway.
They are the Kevin Robinson Free-For-All at Menangle on October 15, the Geelong Pacing Cup on October 22 and the Queensland Cup at Albion Park on November 12.
