A son of the champion sire Art Major, My General Lee is out of the outstanding racemare and multiple Group 1 producer My Ami Lee (Safely Kept), from the prolific Cosmophylla family. His pedigree also features a desirable 3×4 cross to Abercrombie, one of the most influential sires in Standardbred history.

On the racetrack, My General Lee was a high-class performer, winning 20 races, highlighted by the Group 2 Treuer Memorial, and finishing runner-up to Hectorjayjay in the Breeders Crown Final as a four-year-old.
