Hobby harness racing trainer Brian Portelli recently reached 100 wins as a trainer.
The Berkshire Park mentor will be hoping to add to his 104 victories as he heads to Penrith tonight with two of his horses in a lead up to a big night at Bathurst tomorrow.
The 43-year-old has his well-performed pacer Smaltese in the $100,000 Gold Chalice Final at Bathurst and has drawn barrier one for the Group 1.
Bathurst has been a happy hunting ground for Portelli as two years ago he won his first Group 1 race when his Tasty Delight was victorious in Bathurstās Gold Crown Final.
Before Portelli focuses on Bathurst Gold again he will race Alfs Odyssey and Magnifico To Watch at Penrith tonight.
They are in races one and four respectively.
