Riverina harness racing colt Business in Heaven (Rock N Roll Heaven) proved himself to be above average when he stormed down the outside to snatch the Graham Head Memorial 3YO Pace at Shepparton last night.

The race put together a small but talented group of three year olds of which some will be serious Derby contenders later this year.
From his wide barrier Business in Heaven was angled down to the rails by his driver Jackson Painting. Hot favourite Fairplay was well away but Soho The Real Deal showed dazzling speed to hold out the lead.
Greg Sugars who was a late substitute to drive Ronnie The Hammer worked around the field to eventually race outside the leader.
Fairplay was looking to get an inside run but Soho The Real Deal was showing plenty of determination in the lead. Somehow Jackson Painting was able to get Business in Heaven going halfway down the home straight and he sprouted wings to grab a narrow win over Fairplay with Soho The Real Deal a very close third.

Painting stated after the race
“I couldn’t believe my luck. He was able to get three back in the run. I had the perfect run. He’s a very nice horse. His biggest asset is his speed. He’s as good as those down here”.
Painting reflected on his good association with trainer Colin Thomas and thanked him for giving him the drive.
It was a popular win for veteran trainer Colin Thomas who only last month prepared Business In Heaven to take out the Leeton Breeders Plate. His win last night proved that the Leeton performance was no fluke and he appeals as an early Derby prospect during the season.
