Cam Fella sire power and a pedigree loaded with speed

Mel Mara, the Cam Fella sire line stallion who is based at Llowalong Farms at Kyabram, Victoria is the fifth fastest harness racing horse currently standing at Stud in Australia.

When he set his 1.47 record at The Meadowlands, both Always B Miki 1.46 and McWicked 1.46.4 finished behind him.

Speed to burn was evident right from the start when he paced a last quarter in 25 seconds flat and this at just his third start as a 2 year old. Mel Mara was a fighter and accumulated $1,028,350 in a seven season career.

The sire of his Dam is Matts Scooter and he was the World’s fastest ever horse when he was retired in 1989.

Nihilator is the sire of his grandam and he was the fastest ever horse in a race when winning in 1985.

Then his third Dam is a full sister to No Nukes – again one of the fastest pacers in history and an “ El Supremo “ sire.

Mel Mara is also a member of the same Family that produced another outstanding sire in Rock N Roll Heaven.
