Top class pacer Cantfindabettorman (Sweet Lou) on the comeback trail could not have been more impressive when he led all the way in the Logical Staffing Solutions Pace at Melton on Saturday night.

Despite resuming since running 5th in the Cranbourne Cup last February Cantfindabettorman was confidently supported into favouritism. And showing dazzling speed Cantfindabettorman quickly found the lead although Jilliby Nitro issued a spirited challenge.
In the process Cantfindabettorman had to use a bit of petrol and had to run his first quarter in 27.1 seconds. He had a breather for the second quarter but then had to quicken up again.
Bulletproof Boy who had a decent trail issued a steady challenge in the back straight and Tango Tara was looking dangerous although being held up.
But showing his class Cantfindabetterman continued to fight on even though he shifted out under pressure. He held on to beat Tango Tara by less than two metres and Bulletproof Boy just ahead of evergreen veteran Triple Eight who ran his best race for ages in fourth placing.
CANTFINDABETTORMAN MAY 17 REPLAY
Cantfindabettorman performed admirably in the previous Inter Dominion Series at Menangle Park and the six year old gelding is being prepared for another crack at this year’s venue at Albion Park.
Winning Driver Ryan Sanderson was standing in for usual driver Chris Alford who was at Menangle Park for the NSW Trotters Derby with Commodus.
Sanderson was pleased following the event.
“He’s one of my favourites a pleasure to drive. He probably showed better gate speed than what I had thought. They went 1.52.”
“At his best he’s capable of doing that pretty easily . But first up he had a bit of a question mark. It’s a credit to him and the team Walsh.”
“Around the corner I knew I had a lot of horse left but obviously being first up they might tire. I saw Kate coming through. But I always felt confident up the straight.”
Bulletproof Boy is also Inter Dominion bound and he is sure to give a good sight in the Heats. However Cantfindabettorman can only improve and trainer Isobel Walsh will have spot in for the series to be run over three Saturdays in July.
