The much improved Captain Shuffles (Captaintreacherous) had few worries In taking out the Racing and Sports.com pace at Albion Park last night. The event continued a fascinating run of fast class races at the Creek over the last few weeks and last night’s race provided yet another interesting harness racing spectacle.

Backed into a prohibitive odds on favourite Captain Shuffles was taken to the lead by Nathan Dawson and he led his rivals a merry dance over the 2138 metre trip.
Despite the efforts of Braedos Lad and Hot and Treacherous who did the chasing Captain Shuffles was never extended in holding off his opponents. He ran his final two quarters in an impressive in 27.5 and 26.6 seconds.
CAPTAIN SHUFFLES REPLAY
Trainer Ben Crosby was a relieved man after the race.
“He went super. We’re not really sure where he should go. He should go to Sydney but you can’t lock him up in a box. He’e terrible. But we haven’t decided yet”.
“He’s flying and has been at his best in a long time”.
Captain Shuffles is a full brother to Frankie Ferocious who trialled superbly against Leap to Fame yesterday as the pair were timed to run their last 800 metres in 53.2 seconds.
“Frankie Ferocious is quicker than Captain Shuffles. But Captain Shuffles has had many problems. He had a bad back”. Crosby also indicated that the dam of Captain Shuffles has a Stay Hungry filly who will shortly go for a break. “She should make it as a two year old. She also slipped a Dark Stranger and I’m breaking in a full brother to these two”.
