Form horse of the moment Captains Knock (Captaintreacherous) gave yet another awesome display with a scorching all the way win in the Brian Hancock Free For All at Menangle on Saturday evening.

Fresh from his outstanding success in the Bidgee at Wagga two weeks back, Captains Knock was drawn one off the outside in the mile dash.
Ripp showed his characteristic early speed to easily lead but Brad Hewitt pressed forward with Captains Knock and he cruised to the lead running a first quarter of 26.7 seconds. Ripp enjoyed the run of the race behind the leader while Max Delight from his extreme outside barrier draw had to ease back near the rear to prevent being caught wide.
CAPTAINS KNOCK NOV 29 REPLAY
Captains Knock always had the field off the bit and although Ripp tried to keep up with him, he couldn’t make up much ground and Captains Knock simply found another gear to draw clear. Ripp battled on well for second with Nyack coming home well for third. Max Delight couldn’t make up much ground and he finished sixth but that was no surprise as the leader ran his last quarter in 26.2 seconds making it virtually impossible for anything behind him to make an impression.

Captains Knock returned 1.48.9 for the mile journey which proves his ranking as one of the leading pacers in the land.
His win takes his stake earnings to over $705,000 with 23 wins from 60 starts and he is providing much enjoyment to his owners The Triple Play Syndicate.
Having won at Wagga Captains Knock is in contention for the Country Cups of New South Wales one million dollar bonus and the way he is racing he will make a bold showing for the tempting prize on offer. The next leg of the Carnival of cups is to staged at Newcastle this Friday December 5 with the running of the $60,000 Steel City Cup over 2250 metres.
