Promising pacer Chappy Streetnorth will be out for redemption at Newcastle on Friday night.
The two-year-old faces a heat of the Breeders Challenge Regional Series following two unplaced efforts.
The gelded son of John Street North, is the last horse to race by that stallion, and had winning form prior to his last two starts.
The Mitch Chapple-trained pacer won his first three starts including a career best performance at Newcastle on September 3 where he rated a slick 1:54.9.
He then ventured to Tamworth for a heat of the Breeders Challenge where he finished fourth and it was soon discovered he had a virus.
Chappy Streetnorth was then aimed at the Breeders Challenge True Blue Final at Menangle on November 6, however, galloped at the start losing all hope in the $50,000 feature.
He has since won a trial at Maitland, however, due to his last effort will have to start from the outside draw at Newcastle tonight in race nine.
