A harness racing filly by leading American juvenile sire Stay Hungry and out of a half-sister to the sensational New Zealand racemare Millwood Tilly is expected to be keenly sought by buyers at the Australian Pacing Gold sale at the Magic Millions, Gold Coast on Sunday, January 28.
One of a four-prong entry from Pete and Chantal McMullenās Somerset Farms, the bay filly is Lot 56 in the catalogue. She is the first foal of the six-time Albion Park winner Millwood Tilly NZ (1:55.8), whose sibling, Millwood Nike, is undefeated in 17 starts including six at Group 1 level and has banked $690,932.
āSheās a lovely filly. An athletic type with a lovely temperament,ā Pete McMullen said.
Somerset Farms, who sold the second highest priced lot at last yearās sale, is also offering three colts at the sale.
Lot 73, a Sweet Lou colt from the family of Courage Under Fire, Stylish Memphis and Jesse Duke, is clearly the pick of the bunch.
āHeās a real standout. Heās flashy colt with all the bling,ā McMullen said.
Lot 42, a big, strong, correct Always B Miki colt, has a wealth of breeding on his damās side, being out of the NZ Sires Stakes 2YO Championship winner Joannes A Delight 1:55.4 ($203,135), a sister to the millionaire pacer Jacks A Legend (1:47.4).
Completing the Somerset Farmsā draft is a Stay Hungry colt from the Presidential Ball mare Magenta Rose (Lot 50), a member of the Miss Paula tribe which has been responsible for horses the calibre of Frith, Mcraes Mate, Albert Kelly and so on.
āHeās a neat, correct colt who looks like he will get up and go early,ā McMullen stated.
