Club Menangle, in partnership with Harness Racing NSW and Tabcorp, is proud to announce that we will be raising funds and awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia throughout November.

Prostate Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, with 66 men diagnosed every single day and ten men dying from the disease each day.

In 2022 alone, it is predicted that 24,217 Australian men will be diagnosed with the disease*.

Club Menangle, Australia’s premier Harness Racing venue, has chosen to support The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

Bruce Christison, CEO of Club Menangle, said, “We are excited to be participating in Racing for Prostate Cancer in 2022.

In the past, our club has raised funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. For this campaign, however, we are proud to join forces with Harness Racing NSW and Tabcorp to hopefully make a more significant contribution in 2022.”

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia Chief Executive Anne Savage thanked Club Menangle.

“We’re hugely grateful to be the beneficiary of this dinner, which will help men in the local community take back power against prostate cancer and drive for survival.

“Prostate cancer is the leading cause of cancer in the local district, with more than 200 men diagnosed every year.

“The disease accounts for around 1 in 3 of all men’s cancers diagnosed in the region, which means the impacts on the community are significant.

“Club Menangle’s support will allow us to invest in research and PCFA nurses to help save the lives of local men.”

Throughout November, Club Menangle will hold eight race meetings and, alongside Harness Racing NSW have committed to donating $400 for each win recorded by a horse-carrying saddlecloth Number 4 at our Track. In addition, Tabcorp have committed a $5,000 donation to the campaign in 2022 to show their support.

On Saturday, 19 November, Club Menangle will host our inaugural Racing for Prostate Cancer Dinner in the Lawn Marquee. The night will be filled with exquisite dining, action-packed racing and Trackside entertainment that will aim to raise additional funds for the campaign.

Tickets are $150 per person and include VIP Seating, special guest speakers and the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets. Corporate and sponsorship packages are also available.
