Talented Bettor’s Delight filly Cover Girl resumes from spell at Newcastle tonight (Sep. 23).
The three-year-old is being aimed at some big tasks to round out her season according to drive Luke McCarthy.
āShe should go well first up and after that will be aimed at the heats of the Victoria Oaks,ā said McCarthy.
Trained by McCarthyās wife Belinda, Cover Girl is one of many horses the stable will take south over the next few weeks.
McCarthy made his way to Victoria on Thursday with Mach Shard and Major Jellis to race at Kilmore tonight.
Subsequently, the stable will use Jack Callaghan to drive Cover Girl tonight.
Heats of the Victoria Oaks will be held at Melton next week.
Cover Girl has had seven starts in Australia with McCarthy and has yielded two wins and three placings in that time.
In New Zealand, Cover Girl was trained by Bob Butt and won the $150,001 NZB Standardbred Harness Million as well as the Group 2 Caduceus Club Stakes.
