Cup winner by Changeover

Talented Changeover gelding The Mustang tasted cup success for the first time when he took out the Smooth Satin Pacing Cup at the Bathurst Gold Crown carnival.

The five-year-old rated 1:55.4 over 2260 metres with last 800 in 56.6 seconds.

The Mustang has now won 15 races and more than $140,000 in stakes. 

Platinum Revolution, a New Zealand bred daughter of Changeover, returned to the winner’s list with a barnstorming win in a career-best 1:52.7 at Menangle. It was her 14^th success from only 36 starts and lifted her stake tally to almost $90,000.

Other recent Changeover winners have been Raani (1:57.6, Redcliffe), Stirup Iron Jack (1:59.1, Bunbury), Merry Dancer (Kilmore) and Shard’s Fury (Banks Peninsula, NZ).

Changeover, who stands at Burwood Stud on Queensland’s Darling Downs, has sired the winners of $16.7 million to date.
