The reason to leave the Showgrounds site is due to the sale of the land by the Devonport Agricultural & Pastoral Society for housing development.
Only two trainers will have the chance to win the final race held at the inner-city venue, with Ben Yole preparing nine runners, while Conor Crook has the remaining runner in the race, which will be run over the 2665m just after 22:00.
Crook prepares Bao Nien, who gets into the race with the five-point concession claim for north-west coast based driver Charlie Castles.
The gelded son of Artistic Fella won four starts ago at his last start on the Devonport track, where he had a lovely run in front.
Last time out, the pacer settled four back the marker pegs at Carrick Park on 6 March, and never found clear racing room until the concluding stages of the race to finish sixth.
Yole’s stable is headlined by this season’s New Norfolk Cup winner Where Ya Bin and Henry Hu, who has the pole draw, with the gelding getting well back and wide over the concluding stages in Hobart at his most recent outing.
Race dates allocated for Devonport for the remainder of the financial year have been allocated to Launceston, including the Patrons Marathon and Allen Williams Memorial Final on 3 April.
Tasracing will live host the final pacing meeting on TasracingTV, which sees the first of eight races commence at 18:27.
