Albion Park staged the harness racing heats of the 2025 Ladbrokes Stars yearling sale classic for the two and three year olds on Friday night with some entertaining finishes.

In the first heat for the three year old colts and geldings the Grant Dixon pair of Happy As Can Be (Always B Miki) and Race for Riches fighting out a thrilling finish with the former hanging on for the narrowest of wins.
Driven by Adam Sanderson, Happy As Can Be found the lead from the pole draw holding out Stay Foolish. Race for Riches was sent around the field mid race by Trista Dixon which then gave Stay Foolish a good trail one out and one back.
Happy As Can Be was clear on straightening but Race For Riches and then Stay Foolish both issued strong challenges and in a thrilling finish Happy As Can be prevailed over the other two.
Raced by Kevin and Kaye Seymour Happy As Can Be is from smart mare Happy Feelings who won seven races and a fastest time of 1.56.5.
There was very little between the place getters and the barrier draw will be important for the $100,000 Final on November 15.
Star filly Cool and Classy (Captain Treacherous) made it a double for the Dixon Seymour team when she had an effortless all the way win in the three year old fillies heat.
A winner of the New South Wales Oaks she appreciated the drop in class and once Trista Dixon held the lead from the pole she was always going to be the one to beat.
The Lady Dior had little luck having to race outside the leader. And the second favourite Ruby Rules was in all sorts of trouble in a zip fastener three back on the rails. Cool and Classy ran a scintillating final quarter of 26.4 seconds for an overall mile rate of 1.52.6. The Lady Dior battled away for second while Reds Ablaze filled in third placing.
COOL AND CLASSY NOV 7 REPLAY
And to cap off a great night for Dixon and Seymour it was a treble courtesy of Fight to The End (Bettors Delight) in the third heat. Fight To The End was caught outside the leader Just Pinny while favourite Ultimate Ark had the one out and one back trail.
Showing ill effects of the hard run, Fight To The End displayed plenty of ability in holding off the unlucky Sweet Lad Jujon who threaded his way through the field for second with Ultimate Ark coming home for third.
