Dont Care, a son of the French-bred stallion Used To Me, now standing at Haras Des Trotteurs, Ballarat, Victoria, has been named the Victorian Two-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Trotter of the Year for 2019/20.

Trotting stallion Used To Me.

The chestnut gelding won five of his 12 starts including the Group 1 $100,000 Vicbred Final and a heat of the Breeders Crown (second in Final) for $87,855 in stakes.

Used To Me has sired 10 individual winners from 16 starters and they have amassed $365,000 – an average of almost $23,000 per starter.

Meanwhile, Quaker Jet, the multiple European Group 1 winner, was represented by his 15th Australian-bred winner when the three-year-old filly Fancy beat older rivals at Menangle on Tuesday (July 27).

Interestingly, Quaker Jet has left 15 winners from 21 starters and a winners-to-starters strike rate of 71 percent.

Orlando Storm, the richest Australian-bred female by the nine-time Group winner Orlando Vici, posted her ninth success and tipped her earnings over the $70,000 mark at Wagga recently.

Meanwhile, Brillantissime, a multiple Group winner in Italy, sired a winner from his small American crop when the two-year-old colt Global Daytrader S won in 1:58 at Harrah’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Used To Me, Quaker Jet, Orlando Vici and Brillantissime are all members of the Haras Des Trotteurs’ sire roster.
