Driver charged for altering medical form

Charge 1 was issued under AHRR 241, which states:

A person shall not in connection with any part of the harness racing industry do anything which is fraudulent or corrupt

The particulars of this charge relate to Mr Jenvey altering the declaration date on the ā€˜Compulsory Driverā€™s Medical Examinationā€™ form that he previously submitted for the 2020-2021 harness racing season and submitting it to HRV for the renewal of his driverā€™s licence for the 2021-2022 harness racing season.

Charges 2 and 3 were issued under AHRR 187(2), which states:

A person shall not refuse to answer questions or to produce a horse, document, substance or piece of equipment, or give false or misleading evidence or information at an inquiry or investigation.

The particulars of these charges relate to Mr Jenvey providing false or misleading evidence to the HRV Stewards when interviewed in relation into the altered ā€˜Compulsory Driverā€™s Medical Examinationā€™ form submitted by him to HRV for the renewal of his driverā€™s licence for the 2021-2022 season.

Mr Jenvey pleaded guilty to all charges before submission on penalty were heard on behalf of the HRV Stewards and Mr Jenvey.

Penalty

Charge 1 ā€“ 6 months disqualification

Charge 2 – $500 fine

Charge 3 – $500 fine
