Star Tasmanian reinsman Ricky Duggan delivered some of his best performances in the sulky to win the harness racing Invitation Drivers series in Victoria last week.
Duggan drive two winners of the four-race series of the Noel Smith Memorial Invitation Drivers Championship to earn 30 points which was enough to clinch the title ahead of Robert Morris from NSW who amassed 27 points with Victorian Greg Sugars two points astern.
The Horsham Pacing Club organised the event that comprised drivers from all states except South Australia as well as one representative from New Zealand.
"It was great to be selected to represent Tassie and to win it is just a real bonus," Duggan said.
"It was a real credit to the Horsham club to organise drivers from all over Australia and New Zealand and it was a privilege just to be a part of let alone win.
Duggan drove Hit Maka and Glenferrie Bunter to victory, both talented four-year-olds trained by Ryan Hryhorec.
