Entries invited for Silver Salver Yearling Sale

Nominations for harness racing’s 2023 Silver Salver South Australian Yearling Sale are now open.

The boutique sale is limited to 50 yearlings and will be held at the Magic Millions Complex, Morphettville on Sunday, March 26.

Entries close on October 7 2022.

Graduates of the sale are eligible for mixed sex $50,000 Silver Salver Sales race in 2024.

A $12,000 Vicbred Pure Colonial Stallion Bonus will be paid to the winner of the Sales Race (subject to the winner being eligible).

Entry fee is just $350 per yearling with a modest seven per cent commission on lots sold.

A $100 fuel or float rebate is available for interstate vendors.

SA BOTRA President Lee-Ann Pangrazio is optimistic about a return to the Morphettville complex and the prospect of raising the profile of this sale.

“BOTRA is committed to enhancing the reputation of the SA yearling sale. The racetrack results from this sale in previous years certainly indicates that it bats above its average and provides great value. Additionally, by growing our presence we’ll be offering a fantastic opportunity for vendors to be part of a select sale that allows each lot to be highlighted.”
