The late Bill Howell has been described as a beautiful man who loved talking horses and was as passionate as anyone about harness racing.
āGentleman Billā was a dedicated committee member and patron of the Eugowra Harness Racing Club, in the Central West of NSW. He passed away last Wednesday (Dec 11) at the age of 92.
Bill enjoyed his long involvement in the sport as a breeder and owner and notable horses he raced included I’m Impressed (13 wins 19 places), Kennedy Creek (21 wins 36 places $127K), Ima Kennedy Two (six wins and 15 places) and Clarries Gift (four wins and eight places).
Never too busy for a chat, Bill was fondly regarded in his local community as a great man with a wonderful family.
The Eugowra Harness Racing Club said his absence would be deeply felt within the community.
A funeral service for the late Bill Howell will be held at St John’s the Baptist Church, Eugowra, this Friday (Dec 20), followed by a private cremation at Michael Harley’s Crematorium, Forbes.
