Ewa Justice will continue her whirlwind 2024 harness racing season with another incredible opportunity later this year.

The 21-year-old has been picked to represent Victoria in the 2024 Australasian Young Drivers Championships, which will see leading participants under the age of 25 battle it out in heats throughout New South Wales during December.

The series starts at Menangle on December 10 and concludes with a race on Inter Dominion grand final night at the same track on December 14.

Other heats will be conducted at Bathurst, Penrith and Newcastle.

“It’s a massive thrill,” Justice told Saturday night’s Racing.com audience.

“It’s something I’ve sort of always dreamed of doing. I didn’t expect to be doing it in my second season driving… I’m super grateful and I can wait.”

The Toolern Vale reinswoman claimed her first Group 1 victory earlier this year and will also compete for her state in the 2024 Australian Female Drivers Championship in Launceston later this month.

Justice, who has driven 72 career winners and 40 this year, has plenty of other goals to achieve, including winning a big race for her father and legendary trainer, John.

“My whole life has been a blur of horses and racing as a kid with Dad,” she said.

“I wouldn’t want it any other way and it is all I have ever known.”

James Herbertson represented Victoria in the 2023 Australasian Young Drivers Championships and finished the competition in overall fifth position.
