The North America Cup winner Fear The Dragon provided the quinella pair, Stormy Serena and The Dragonfly, in the $30,000 Ohio Mini Series Final for two-year-old fillies at harness racing’s Scioto Downs. She clocked 1:54 for the mile.

Fear The Dragon was also represented by the three-year-old winners Self Made (1:52.4), Rock The Dragon (1:52.6), Do Fear Me (1:56.6), Fear Me Roar (1:59) and The Golden Dragon.

Fear The Dragon’s three-year-old crop has earned $1.12 million this season.

Warrawee Needy, the former world champion, sired important winners in both hemispheres this week.

Uncle Shank led throughout at Albion Park in 1:53.1 to extend his record to 13 wins from 21 starts for $120,000, while the three-year-old Unsully posted his second success at Tamworth in 1:58.5.

In North America, Warrawee Needy left the Woodbine Mohawk Park victor High Flyin Jamie (1:53.2) and Noch Ten (1:54.2), a winner at Yonkers Raceway, New York.

Former NZ superstar Tintin In America was represented by the runaway Wagga three-year-old winner Escape Artist (1:55.4) and the Canadian victor American Colt NZ (1:56.2). Escape Artist boasts five wins from only 12 starts.

Fear The Dragon, Warrawee Needy and Tintin In America are members of the sire roster at the new Wingate Farm, Wagga (formerly Yirribee Pacing Stud).
