The stock of harness racing’s North America Cup winner Fear The Dragon continue to produce amazing results in USA.
His first crop now racing as three-year-olds have banked $1,911,485 to August 4, while his second crop as two-year-olds have already earned $467,818.
Special Dragon, a two-year-old gelding by Fear The Dragon, took out the $50,000 Kentucky Sired Series Final at The Red Mile in 1:54.2 and has won five of his six starts, while the two-year-old filly Fear Of Sports captured a $40,000 division of the Ohio Sires Stakes at Northfield Park in 1:52.4.
Another two-year-old filly in Type A Dragon won a division of the Buckeye Stallion Series in 1:55.8 at Scioto Downs, Ohio.
Other fast Fear The Dragon winners recently have been Pearl Snaps (1:52.8), the winner of nine of his 11 starts this year, Getaway Sticks (1:53.2), Odds On Veto Power (1:53.6 and 1:53.8), Stormy Serena (1:54) and Miss Venus (1:55).
Talented three-year-old Teddy Disco continues to fly the flag for Tintin In America in Queensland. The gelding outstayed older, more experienced rivals in a career-best 1:52.6 at Albion Park and has now won 11 of his 20 starts and $173,780 in stakes.
Tintin In America was also represented by the impressive Wagga three-year-old winners Metallica Man (1:56.3), the winner of four out of 10, and Escape Artist (1:56.2), and the Globe Derby Park victor Villanelle.
Meanwhile, the former world champion Warrawee Needy sired the NSW provincial winning three-year-olds Flare Up (1:59.1) and Brooklyn Bandit and the four-year-old Ripponlea (1:59.7), as well as the North American winners Heresthatmanagain (1:52), Needless To Say (1:53.4) and Warrawee Speedy (1:57).
Fear The Dragon, Tintin In America and Warrawee Needy are all members of the star-studded sire lineup at the new Wingate Farm, Wagga (formerly Yirribee Pacing Stud). The roster also includes the Inter Dominion and Miracle hero Lennytheshark and former top juvenile Be Happy Mach.
