The great run of success being enjoyed by Yirribee Pacing Stud stallions Tintin In America and Warrawee Needy reached a crescendo last Saturday night (November 6).
Tintin In America, the former NZ 4YO of the Year and Breeders Crown champion, was represented by star youngster Teddy Disco, who notched his second Group success in the Group 3 $30,900 QBred For Life at Albion Park, and Nerano NZ, who extended his unbeaten winning sequence on Australian soil to six in the Griffith Cup.

Teddy Disco completed his seventh win from 10 starts and elevated his stake tally to $120,758 – behind only My Ultimate Byron on the two-year-old colts and geldings’ money-winning list.
Tintin In America, who one week earlier sired the winner of the Group 1 $150,000 NSW Breeders Challenge Final, Tim’s A Trooper, is the current leading NSW based two-year-old stakes-winning sire and is second in respect of average earnings per starter to Captaintreacherous.
Warrawee Needy (1:46.8), the former world mile record holder and Canadian 2YO Colt of the Year, sired important winners in Brisbane and Sydney on Saturday.
Firstly, Uncle Shank, a three-year-old colt and one of Warrawee Needy’s first crop, took out the inaugural Group 2 $50,000 Peak of the Creek in a slick 1:53.7 at Albion Park. It was his ninth success from 12 starts and increased his bankroll to $83,412.
On the same night, the Warrawee Needy two-year-old filly Ideal In Dreams scored a brave, fighting win in the Group 2 $50,000 NSW Breeders Challenge True Blue Series in 1:55.5 at Menangle.
Warrawee Neddy, whose first crop has an amazing 40 per cent strike rate, has now sired three Group winning two and three-year-olds.
