Exciting Tintin In America three-year-old Mahomes stretched his unbeaten winning sequence to five when he toyed with his older rivals at the Menangle midweek meeting.
Starting from the outside No. 10 gate, the gelding worked to the front in the early part and was untroubled in running out the mile in a career-best 1:52.6 including a 56.2 seconds last 800.
Mahomes has won seven of his 15 starts to date and almost $50,000 in stakes.
Tintin In America was also represented by another Menangle winner in Nerano NZ (1:56.5), the Redcliffe victor American Flyer NZ and the three-year-olds Tashās Spartan (1:57.4, Wagga) and Plutus (Globe Derby Park).
The North America Cup winner Fear The Dragon sired the winners of two important races at Scioto Downs, Ohio this week.
Boyzcalmecarlwayne, a two-year-old filly, took out a $40,000 division of the Ohio Sires Stake in a new lifetime mark of 1:53.4, while the three-year-old Pearl Snaps won the $30,000 Joe Adamsky Final in 1:49.8 ā his second sub 1:50 effort. Pearl Snaps has now won eight of his 10 appearances.
Other recent Fear The Dragon winners included the two-year-old fillies The Dragon Queen (1:57.4) and The Real Slim Katy (1:58.8) and the three-year-olds Sectionline Dragon (1:54.6) and Fear The Dice (1:58.4).
Fear The Dragonās first two American crops have earned $1.24 million.
Promising Warrawee Needy two-year-old filly Saveeon notched her second success from six starts at Bathurst recently.
Tintin In America, Fear The Dragon and Warrawee Needy are members of the Yirribee Pacing Stud sire lineup for this season.
