Following some travel concerns star Bettor’s Delight colt Leap To Fame will make his way south for heats of harness racing’s Victoria Derby this Saturday night (Oct. 1).
Trainer Grant Dixon confirmed that a flight from Queensland has been arranged for the $298,812 earner.
“It’s all good now, there was an issue with getting a box but that has been sorted now,” said Dixon on Tuesday.
“He will fly down on Wednesday night and I’ll meet him in Victoria on Thursday.
“Racy Roxy will also fly down with him.”
Racy Roxy (Mr Feelgood) won the South East Oaks at Albion Park four starts ago and will be aimed at heats of the Victoria Oaks on Saturday night.
Leviathan owners/breeders Kevin and Kay Seymour bred her and also own Leap To Fame.
Leap To Fame is one of the top earning three-year-olds in Australia this season and has already won the New South Wales and Queensland Derby with connections hoping he can make it a major Derby trifecta.
After his win in the NSW Derby there were reports of offers of $1million or more for the colt.
Leap To Fame has had 19 starts for 14 wins and four placings.
