Auckland Reactor sired his first two-year-old winner for the season in Australian when Mister Reactor broke his maiden at Albion Park on Tuesday.

The colt, out of the Presidential Ball mare Shechoseus, clocked 1:56.4.

Trained by Geoff Dawson and driven by Kelli Dawson, Mister Reactor worked to the lead from barrier three.

The closing quarter in 28.4 seconds out a space of more than five metres on Mister Reactor’s closest rival Eugenien at the finish.

Auckland Reactor, the dual NZ Horse of the Year and six-time Group 1 winner, is closing in on the magical $10 million mark in progeny earnings.

Auckland Reactor stands at the St Fort stud, Moama (NSW), of Tony Peacock.
