Follow The Stars, a former NZ and Australian 2YO Colt of the Year who is now standing at harness racing’s Medowie Lodge stud, near Newcastle (NSW), has topped the $1 million mark in progeny earnings for the second consecutive season.

The Art Major horse passed the milestone when his son Robbie Rocket led from end-to-end at Gloucester Park last Friday night. In the process the four-year-old gelding sent his lifetime stake earnings over the $100,000 plateau, the fourth progeny of Follow The Stars to achieve the feat.

He joins the Group 1-winning filly Black Jack Baby ($211,651), Star Fromthepalace ($113,365) and Aristocratic Star ($102,703).

Follow The Stars’ stock have enjoyed a purple patch in WA recently.

Other winners sired by him have been the two-year-old Imperium, the three-year-olds Follow Rocknroll, Bonstar and Ya Bettor Followme (Gloucester Park) and the older performers Stars Of Gold, Zyanya, Our Glowing Star and Altair Star.

Follow The Stars has sired 62 individual winners this season including 15 three-year-olds and seven two-year-olds.

Meanwhile, Tiger Tee, a three-year-old trotting filly by Follow The Stars’ studmate, the Inter Dominion champion and Horse of the Year Tiger Tara, blitzed her rivals at Menangle in 1:59.4 recently.

Tiger Tara has sired three winners from three foals in his first crop and three starters from four live foals from his second.
