Former New Zealand and Australian Two-Year-Old of the Year Follow The Stars, who stood his first five seasons in Western Australia and is now located at Medowie Lodge, Newcastle, of leading studmaster Darren Reay, has produced the winners of $1,825,130 with 62 individual winners from 112 starters.His biggest season was in 2019/20 when his stock won 93 races and $865,967 in stakes.
With four months of the current season left, the reigning WA 2YO and 3YO Sire of the Year is poised to easily surpass that record. He has left the winners of 70 races and $716,480 to August 4.
Silver Star Lombo, a three-year-old filly, became Follow The Starsā 16th three-year-old winner this year when she scored at Pinjarra on Monday (August 2).
Black Jack Baby ($211,651), Follow The Starsā richest progeny, rated a career-best 1:55.9 winning at Gloucester Park last Friday (July 30), while the Follow The Stars three-year-olds Make It Quick and Follow My Stride won on the same card at Northam.
Star Of The Class and Star Of Madonna, both members of the first crop of Follow The Stars, won at Gloucester Park and Northam respectively last week.
Follow The Stars is standing his first season at Medowie Lodge for a fee of $3,300 including GST.
