Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is pleased to welcome highly regarded steward Grant Adams to the role of Deputy Chief Steward (Industry).
Mr Adams steps away from his post as Chairman of Stewards with Harness Racing New South Wales to take up the Victorian role.
āThis appointment further underscores the Victorian harness racing industryās capacity to attract quality people,ā HRV General Manager ā Integrity Brent Fisher said.
Mr Adams will work closely with current HRV Chief Steward Brett Day and Deputy Chief Steward (Operations) Nick Murray.
āAdding Grant to the team will allow for a greater focus on industry related integrity matters, including a strengthened internal review process, and stronger mentoring and development of stewards and participants,ā Mr Fisher said.
āGrant adds further depth and experience to our stewardsā panel, which now consists of five members who have served as a Chairman of Stewards in an Australian harness jurisdiction.
āGrant is highly credentialled, having gained broad regulatory experience in performing the NSW Chairman of Stewardsā role snice October 2017. He has dealt with a range of important and high-profile integrity matters, including chairing several Group 1 race meetings.ā
Mr Adams said he looked forward to getting started at HRV.

Mr Adams will commence his role in July.
