Four winners on the one night

The Art Major horse Follow The Stars, a former 2YO of the Year, sired four winners on the same night at Wagin (WA) recently.

His winners were the three-year-old Chance Eclipse (1:59.7) and Rip Jackson and the four-year-olds Star Of The Class (1:57.5) and Galactic Ruler (1:59.3). Star Of The Class has now won 15 races – including 10 this season – and almost $70,000 in stakes.

Star Of Willoughby, a three-year-old colt by Follow The Stars, came from last to win at Gloucester Park on Friday night (November 26). The colt rated a career-best 1:56.2 over 2130 metres with the last 800 in 56.4 seconds.

Two ‘new’ three-year-old winners sired by Follow The Stars this week have been Belle Livia Star (1:58.6) and Troopingthecolor.

Follow The Stars has sired 24 individual three-year-old winners this season and 11 two-year-old winners.

His stock has earned nearly $1.1 million in 2021.

Follow The Stars is standing this season at Medowie Lodge Stud, near Newcastle of Darren Reay.
