When she outfinished a top Free-for-all field at Bendigo last Saturday night (August 22), Imsettogo provided a terrific boost to the stocks of the French-bred, Victorian-based harness racing stallion Used To Me.
Imsettogo, a four-year-old mare and one of his first small crop of five foals, rated a career-best 1:59.5 for 2150 metres and clocked a blazing 56.8 for the last 800 on a rain-sodden track on the way to posting her eighth success from 13 starts this season.
The Pat Driscoll bred and owned mare has now earned almost $100,000 in stakes.
Used To Me, a Group winner in both France and Australia, stands at Haras Des Trotteurs stud, near Ballarat.
The Best Madrik and Orlando Vici, both members of the Haras Des Trotteurs’ frozen semen roster, sired important winners last week.
Megeve, a three-year-old filly by The Best Madrik, bred and raced by Driscoll, broke through for her first success at Ballarat, while Adelle, a New Zealand-bred daughter of Orlando Vici, overpowered her rivals in a career-best 1:56.4 at Menangle.
In North America, Majestic Player, who was bred by Yabby Dam Farms, continued his devastating form with a 1:51.4 front-end triumph at Hoosier Park, Indiana on Saturday (August 22). The five-year-old is now the richest and winningest aged trotting gelding in America this year with $114,450 from 11 wins and a placing in 13 starts.

The win of the Ready Cash colt Ready For Moni in the $330,000 Harry M. Zweig Memorial for three-year-old trotters at Vernon Downs, New York provided a further boost to the ranks of Haras Des Trotteurs’ stallions.
The stud is standing three sons of Ready Cash in 2020 in the US Breeders Crown and dual Prix d’Amerique winner Bold Eagle, the multiple Group winner Brillantissime and En Solitaire (NZ only).
