Owner, breeder and trainer Samantha Freeman was all smiles after Allsudsnobubbles made a winning race track harness racing debut, in a Two Year Old Maiden (1609m) in Hobart on Sunday night.

The gelded son of Lather Up led the one-wide in the line in the early stages, and was inclined to over race, before driver Jordan Chibnall took him to the lead near the 1100m.

Allsudsnobubbles was clearly headed halfway down the home straight before rallying back late to score by 2.7m over Heza Ripper ($2.10 fav) and Quetzalli ($5) in a mile rate of 1:58.9s.

“I think he was entitled to get beaten, he didn’t do himself any favours when he didn’t settle, but Jordy (Chibnall) said he just doesn’t know what to do, and once he was headed, he switched on a little bit more and he went again,” said Freeman post race.

The pacer went into the race on the back of two recent Carrick Park trials, including a win at his first trial on 20 September.

“His first trial did surprise me, as I took him there to try to help with his hanging. I thought his second trial was pretty good.”

Freeman bred the pacer out of the Armbro Operative mare Avens.

“I raced Avens on lease from Lloyd and Judy Wish-Wilson, and I had her when I was working for Chester Bullock, and then Brooke Hammond had her for me for a few starts, and then she broke down.

“The Wish-Wilsons had just moved to Queensland at that time, and they asked if I wanted to keep her. He (Allsudsnobubbles) is her third foal. Her first one didn’t make it to the track, but the next two have now both won.”

Freeman was unsure if the pacer would contest Friday night’s heats of the Dandy Patch in Hobart.

“I’m undecided, I will see how he pulls up, with the nominations moved to Wednesday this week, I have a few days to consider it,” the owner, breeder and trainer said.

The win was the first leg of a driving double for Chibnall, who won aboard consistent mare Miss Collann ($3.60) from the Kasey Kent stable.

Chibnall shared driving honours at the meeting with Liam Older, who also drove a double with Zara Tindall ($3.80 fav) and Sapphire Gambler ($5.50).

Training honours at the Hobart meeting went to Wayne Yole with a treble after the wins of Iron Clad ($1.60 fav), Sapphire Gambler ($5.50) and Coolandcollect ($5).
