Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW) conducted an inquiry on Monday 23 February 2015 into results received from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory (ARFL) that Ipratropium was detected in the urine sample taken from Oneminutetodream following its win in race 5, the Mimosa Banks Stud Encouragement Stakes (2100 metres) conducted at Young on Tuesday 2 December 2014.
The “B” sample was confirmed by Racing Analytical Services LTD (RASL) in Victoria.
Mr Wilmot appeared at the inquiry.
Evidence was tendered from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory (ARFL) and Racing Analytical Services LTD (RASL).
Evidence was also presented by Mr Wilmot, the trainer of Oneminutetodream and HRNSW Regulatory Veterinarian Dr Wainscott.
Mr Wilmot pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 190 (1), (2) & (4) for presenting his horse to race not free of a prohibited substance.
Mr Wilmot was disqualified for a period of 6 months to commence immediately.
In considering penalty, Stewards were mindful of the nature of the substance (Class 3), the guilty plea entered and personal subjective facts.
Acting under the provisions of Rule 195, Oneminutetodream was disqualified from the abovementioned race.
